Drawing Day 2008
We are busy drawing today. Its good and rainy out so it's a perfect day for sniffing our markers and drawing. We have been playing a drawing game where one of us draws a line on a page and gives it to another to finish. To see our drawings for Drawing Day 2008 visit our Flickr Portfolios[link].

Well Kaya is no longer a preschooler, yea! We got to bring home her work from Head Start that I had not seen yet. It's all been scanned and the Swirly Girls Flickr Portfolios are being updated.[link]
Kaya by the way was named "student most likely to sign her artwork" (nice job)


Una's First Art Showing!

Una has had her first showing of some paintings. She completed three paintings during a workshop at her elementary schools Celebration of the Arts Week. Kaya and I are proud of her and went to see all the students work at a one night only showing. The natural aptitude children of this age have for creating art continually amaze me. Una and Kaya have begun to really show their artistic talents and ability to grasp the fundamentals of quality design. Their skills are improving as well as their understanding of artistic tools and their use. I hope it will only increase and I will continue to bring the exploits of these burgeoning artists.
